Nice, clean hotel; friendly staff; accommodations well-situated for a family of 4; great view of the canals and the Magere Brug.
The hotel was somewhat further away from the center of Amsterdam than I expected.

The Bridge Hotel is a lovely old-fashioned hotel. It's a fantastic base for a short break. The room was a nice size and had a balcony. The staff was very knowledgeable. I recently stayed at The Bridge Hotel in Amsterdam and it was a fantastic experience. The hotel has a charming old-fashioned feel and it's a great place to stay for a short break. The room I stayed in was a nice size and even had a balcony, which was a lovely bonus. The staff at the hotel were very knowledgeable and helpful, which made my stay even more enjoyable. The hotel is located in a quiet area, but it's very close to central Amsterdam, the Foodhallen, and even within walking distance to an art museum. The check-in process was easy and the location was perfect for exploring the city. I highly recommend The Bridge Hotel for anyone visiting Amsterdam.

You can't beat the location. A short walk along the Amstel in either direction will bring you to a tram, giving you easy access to the whole city. We walked toward the Rijksmuseum, passing through a small park and having some sate and beer at an old pub. From there, it was a short tram ride to the museum and the wonderful Blue Boat canal ride. If we had stayed longer, we could have easily taken in the mansions of the Golden Bend as well as the Anne Frank house. The hotel itself was appropriately clean, with a sense of style. The breakfast room features a collection of photos with Mohammed Ali, and there's a fun collection of curios as well. The window of our room opened directly on a canal, but was quiet on what was not a show night at the adjacent Carre theater.
We only stayed one night, so the fact that there was no closet space did not matter.
